However, there is still a sizable population of ******** gamers who refuse to settle for the mediocre-performing laptops and still insist in having the best gaming machines available. These are usually the professional gamers and unfortunately, this profession only earns so much. There’s no need to fret as reasonably-priced, high-end gaming laptops are becoming more and more abundant.

The Usual Suspects

When it comes to bringing up the total cost of gaming laptops, two usual suspects are typically to blame – the graphics card and the processor. In order to meet the high performance requirements of most 3D games in the market today, particularly powerful processors and graphics cards are definitely prerequisites. Sure, one will be able to play these games with normal processors or graphics cards, but to truly enjoy the full range of colors, to see every little detail, and to be able to play at breakneck speeds without any technical hanging, some minimum criteria have to be met.

The good news here is that processors have recently been able to meet the high standards set by graphics cards which means that quad core or Intel Extreme processors are not exactly the minimum requirements. Similar to how it has always been, the secret still lies on the graphics card.

Graphics Cards Mania

Let’s use the Radeon HD 3879 video card from ATI as an example. This particular graphics card is capable of five-digit scoring in the 3DMark 06 tests. ATI, the developers of the Radeon HD 3879, have come up with what they call the CrossFire configuration which teams up this super powerful graphics card with energy-efficient processors. The result is an excellent combination of extreme functioning and power-saving performance. Present in computer systems such as the Alienware M17 or the Xtreme Gamer M1 from Cyberware, this cutting edge graphics card is not as expensive as one would expect; both personal computers mentioned fall a little over $2,000.

Contrary to popular belief, the inclusion of such a powerful graphics card does not affect other gaming attributes of these high-end machines. Both systems mentioned above possess high-resolution screens (1920 x 1200 pixels), backlit keyboards, as well as a myriad of connectivity ports. In fact, the M1 also comes with a built-in Blu-ray player for top of the line HD entertainment.

Mid-Range Models

Terrific Poker and Non-Poker Game Selection

The best thing about Nintendo DS World Championship Poker is its variety of games. Many poker players think Texas Hold Em is the only legitimate form of the game. Perhaps people who think that simply watch too much television.

It’s almost impossible to turn the channel without seeing a televised poker game. But if you think Texas Hold Em is the only game in town, then you’re missing all the fun.

The Games

My favorite poker games are Omaha Hi/Lo and 7-Card Stud Hi/Lo. So it was a surprise to learn that the Nintendo DS version of World Championship Poker includes these games. And even better, there are twelve games in all on this one cartridge. The games are:

Playing the Game

The fun starts when you play career mode.

In career mode, you walk around the virtual casino in search of a game. The top screen offers a 3D first-person view of where you are in the casino. At the same time, the bottom screen displays an overhead view of your location.

The casino tables each have a different game. You find a table with the game you want, and then tap the table with your stylus to play.

Some tables have quick games that allow you to win a quick buck and move on, like the video poker game. For more involved play you’d pick a tournament table to compete against computer opponents.

Your Opponents

The computer opponents in this game are 3-D models. You see them while they play, and each has their own name, face, and body.

Your opponents are also animated and make certain movements and sounds each time they play a hand. This is fun at first, but gets annoying and repetitive the longer you play. It also makes each hand longer than necessary. Luckily, you can turn the animations off under the options setting.

Thanks to the wireless networking function, you can play the Nintendo DS version of World Championship Poker with friends. Of course, this only works if your friends are within range, and also have a Nintendo DS and the World Championship Poker game. Once connected, everyone can play most of the games together. The only downside is you’re unable to name your player in wireless mode. So you have to remember which character is yours.

Overall Rating: Five Poker Chips

I recommend this game for anyone who enjoys portable gaming and poker. You can practice your skills without sitting in front of your computer or waiting for a live game.

It’s also a great way to pass time while waiting in line or stuck in a waiting room. So if you’re interested in portable poker gaming, get a copy of World Championship Poker for the Nintendo DS.

Are you observing while playing on your favorite Xbox 360 console 1 lower right hand side flashing red light with a message that reads as ‘e74 error’ at the bottom of the screen? Now this must have baffled you. But friend, there is nothing wrong from your side. The problem has aroused due to the overheating of the console. The HANA scaler chip on the motherboard got overheated and this deals with the display on your console and that is why your Xbox is showing the e74 error.

Normally in a high end PC, there is provision of liquid cooling with a powerful fan plus heat sinks. The OverAchiever: Guide to Fool for Love achievements

Standard operating procedure for the holiday involves buying Cologne/Perfume and Love Tokens from innkeepers (very cheaply) and then using them to interact with city guards and NPCs with hearts over their heads. Spray yourself with cologne (to talk to female guards/NPCs) or perfume (to talk to male guards/NPCs), fork over a Token, and most of the time they will give you a Gift/Pledge of Adoration in return. These Gifts/Pledges have historically contained nearly all of the items required to do the meta-achievement. If the guard/NPC in question doesn’t like you, instead of getting a present you’ll get your heart broken. This debuff leaves you unable to talk to another NPC for holiday-related business for an hour, or until another player “cures” you.

That’s how the holiday’s worked in the past, anyway. Blizzard has changed some of the achievements required for the meta, many of which now refer to items and quests we haven’t seen in-game yet, so stay tuned; I’ll be updating the guide after the holiday goes live to reflect the 2010 changes.

Audiosurf is an independently developed game for the PC that is digitally distributed by Valve Corp. (Steam). The player chooses a song and “rides”. The game loads up a track and chooses the background color that best suite the tempo, volume, and overall sound of the song selected. For example, if you were to choose the song “The Rockafeller Skank” by Fat Boy Slim, then chances are the system will choose to use a white background, because the song is very upbeat. Playing something like “Idealistic” by Digitalism, which is a lot darker and “bassier”, for lack of a better term, will more then likely come up in a black background. The previously stated is the most amazing part of playing Audiosurf. The fact that you can choose to play any song you have on your computers hard drive and the track will change to better suite the song.

The amazing mechanics don’t end there. Another amazing thing the track will do while playing is change the angle of the slope you’re continuing down. If there’s a part in the song that is slower or quieter, the slope angle upwards. If the song has a section where there is a lot going on, or the tempo increases, then the track will slope downwards and move much faster.

There are many different modes to try out in Audiosurf. Each one is filled with blocks called “cars”. These cars are traveling in the opposite direction as your car. If you’re playing in the Mono mode, then the cars will either be grey or coloured. Your objectives in this mode are to avoid making contact with the grey cars and collect as many coloured ones as possible. If you’re playing in any other mode, then your objective is to collect coloured cars in groups of 3 in order to wipe them off the track and gain points.

Audiosurf does a good job of keeping its players happy. Every week, Dylan will release a few playable tracks for everyone to use. This causes some automatic competition among the online players. Scores for these songs and any others you play are posted online as long as you are connected and logged in, so everyone will always be reaching for that #1 spot. There are also achievements implemented into the game that are also fun to go after when you’re looking for a challenge.

Audiosurf not only excels in the area of audio, but visually it’s just as good. With a decent graphics card and the settings turned to max, watching Audiosurf is almost as much fun as playing it. Every time your car hits another, a firework-like explosion of what ever color you hit will go off in the background. This makes the game a real visual pleasure.

Overall

With new content every week plus what ever new music you pick up, you will never get bored of this game. With its great range and low price, Audiosurf is a must have for any one who is into games like Guitar Hero or even F-Zero, along with anyone who just loves music.

The owners of this site would have you believe that they have a program that will allow you to alter your character stats, remove casting cooldowns, change your equipment stats, reach level 70 in a few hours, solo raid content and many other things. They also state that it is completely undetectable by Warden, Blizzard Entertainment’s anti-hack scanner.

I have spoken with some of those who have purchased this program and all feel that they have been scammed.

On the first page of their website it states that there is a 30 day money back guarantee. None of the players I have spoken with have been able to get their cash back. In fact email messages to the company go unanswered. So much for the advertised support.

While you can change the stats on items, boost your health and mana to 100,000 at least visually it is reported that the change is only visual and has no effect on the game. Many reported that the only the appearance of their stats looked different, the game itself was unchanged.

The company would like you to believe that you can change the game with just a few clicks of a user friendly program. Those who have purchased it have stated that the program is horribly complicated and the instructions that are sent with it are completely inadequate. No one that I spoke with was able to get the program working as advertised.

My opinion of WoWAdvantage is that it is a complete scam. I base this opinion on the fact that I could not find one satisfied customer.

Are you considering purchasing this program? Do yourself a big favor first and use your brain. If this program performed as it promises why would it be sold for $25, or even sold at all? If this program performed as advertised the developer would keep it a secret and use it to create super accounts that could be sold for considerably more that the price of the program. Even if it did work how long do you think it would be until Blizzard shut it down?

If you want a game on easy mode then go back to playing single player games on your computer where you can get hacks and codes for everything. On the other hand if you want a truly challenging experience then play the game how it was meant to be played.
